Congratulations to Newnan High School student Hope Ivey on two outstanding honors for her veterans-themed artwork! According to Newnan High School, Hope received second place in the local VFW Young American Art Competition. The same artwork, dedicated to her uncle, also earned first place in the Congressional Art Competition for Georgia’s 3rd District.
The school shared that Hope will travel to Washington, DC, accompanied by a parent and her art teacher, for the awards presentation and to meet Congressman Brian Jack. Her artwork will be displayed in the U.S. Capitol for one year.
This marks the second consecutive year a Newnan High School art student has earned this honor. Congratulations, Hope!
