Food Delivery to Salvation Army

This month we delivered 103 jars of peanut butter, 67 Jelly, 33 canned foods, and 6 Birthday Kits (312 pounds) to Salvation Army as part of its rotation of donating to a local food bank each month.

VFW and Auxiliary members bring these donations to the monthly meeting each month.

This month Salvation Army was completely out of peanut butter so they especially welcomed the donation. Even though they are extremely busy manning the red kettles outside of all 3 Krogers, Walmart, Sam’s Club, Hobby Lobby, Dillard’s, Belk, and JC Penney and collecting donations for families in need for Christmas, they still have a steady need for food. This need will grow once the students are out of school for the Christmas break.

They are still in need of bell ringers if anyone has a couple of hours of time to donate.
