Richard Gardiner, US History teacher at The Heritage School was recently named the 1st Place winner of
the Smart/Maher VFW National Citizenship Education Teacher Award at the District level, after also placing
1st Place at Post 2667 (us). He competed against entries from 7 VFW Posts in District 10. He received a plaque and a monetary award.
