Willis Road 4th Grader Wins at National

Cade Wilson was a 4th Grader at Willis Road Elementary School this past school year.

Under the guidance of his teacher, Annie McMichael, he entered the VFW Post 2667 Auxiliary’s Illustrating America Art Contest in the category of Grades 3-5.

His entry won 1st Place at the Post Level. His entry advanced to the Department level for further judging. At the VFW June Convention in Macon, he won 1st Place at the State Level.

Recently at the VFW National Convention in Phoenix, Arizona, Cade won 3rd place at the National Level in his category for his art entry.

Cade attended the recent VFW Meeting to receive his awards for both the Department and National along with
a monetary award.

VFW Post 2667 Auxiliary is honored as Cade is our FIRST National winner in the many contests we have sponsored over the past 6 years.
