John H Skinner of Newnan’s Post 2667 ended a decade-long run as District 5 Quartermaster by being elected the commander of VFW Georgia’s District 5 at the District convention held in Columbus, GA. Billy Alford of Post 2667 was elected as the District Surgeon.

John is a U.S. Marine Corps Vietnam veteran and takes charge of the 15 posts that span the area between Columbus, Macon and Newnan. He is currently also the Commander of VFW Post 2667 in Newnan. 

Billy is a U.S. Army Vietnam veteran and is the Post 2667 Surgeon as well.

Commander Skinner has served as Commander and Quartermaster at both the Post and District level and has led the organizations to All-State and All-American status in all assignments.
